Yes, I’ve heard the Commander in Chief and his staff use the term to define the Military action in Libya as that kinetic military action.
No matter who uses the term, the purpose for the term is to obscure that it is war.
We can bastardize the language if we want to but I will use terminology that I understand.

You are absolutely correct in what you say.
We have been undergoing a covert revolution since the late 60’s in both public and higher education with the goal to transform our nation from one based upon the Constitution and freedom to that of either a dictatorship or a Socialist/Communist society based upon Marxism.
Through time the family structure has been decimated, freedoms stripped through the legal system and government decrees, and individual responsibility completely trounced.
I fear an armed revolution is close at hand in the near future, and with that, the end of a unified Unites States of America.

The Lord's Resistance Army (LRA)
Joseph Kony was born in 1961 in the village of Odek among the Acholi people of northern Uganda.
He inherited power through his aunt because she was the tribe's mystic who started the Holy Spirit Movement, which sought to unseat the Kampala government.
This movement was started by his aunt, Alice Auma, and required that the Acholi people retake the capital city Kampala.
It was believed that doing so would redeem the Acholi from the violence they had collectively done to the civilians of the Luwero triangle and initiate a paradise on earth.
Even though this movement failed, Kony used a similar spiritual base.
He believed that he was a prophet sent from God to purify the people of Uganda and to create a bastion of peace.
Kony had been a soldier with the Uganda People's Democratic Army (UPDA), which got him involved in military affairs.
The leaders of the UPDA signed an agreement with the Ugandan government called the Gulu Peace Accord of 1988 in which most of the former rebels were integrated into the government's army.
Kony refused to go along with the agreement and splintered off with other soldiers.
With the combination of his military background and religious beliefs he created the Uganda Christian Democratic Army and began fighting against the government.
In 1991 he changed the name of the group to the Lord's Resistance Army.
The Lord's Resistance Army (LRA), led by Joseph Kony, operated in the north from bases in southern Sudan.
The LRA committed numerous abuses and atrocities, including the abduction, rape, maiming, and killing of civilians, including children.
In addition to destabilizing northern Uganda from bases in Sudan, the LRA congregated in the Bunia area in eastern Congo.
They linked up with the Army for the Liberation of Rwanda (ALIR) and other rebel groups that were battling with forces from the Rally for Congolese Democracy (RCD).

Rush is simply quoting that source.

Some scientists have been saying that for quite some time now. Just google abiotic oil. They make a very compelling argument. Then there's also those lakes of methane on Saturn's moon Titan, and hydrocarbons in Jupiter's atmosphere. The evidence may be there, they may just be 'conveniently' ignoring it. This isn't Jupiter or Titan, in case you had missed that. Different planet, different circumstances. If there was all this 'free' abiotic never-runs-out oil, I can guarantee you there would be a lot fewer, and much older oil wells out here, and they'd produce forever.

Never said I was 100% convinced of abiotic oil. I'm just saying they make a compelling argument. I'd like to hear and study both sides rather than just accept 'facts' from one group who has a vested interest in fossil based fuel. I feel the argument is not that different than what's playing out with the Global Warming nonsense. Here's a good link that presents both sides of abiotic oil:

Jed, I’m a geologist who has been working in the oil industry for 33 years. We’re always looking for the next great oil field—for us it can mean a comfortable retirement. The only prospects drilled on the basis of abiotic oil that I have heard of only produced money from the investors, not any oil or even natural gas.

The LRA is NOT the NVA.
Joseph Kony (if he’s still alive) is NOT Ho Chi Minh.
Kony & the LRA are evil, sick, disgusting vermin who should have been eliminated 20 years ago. For decades, I’ve been hoping either the US or Great Britain would send in SEALS, Special Forces, SAS or just “Gibbs” and his “Kate” and start knocking off the LRA leadership, starting with the oldest, but not hurting any of the kids they have turned onto cold sadistic killers.
About time. Better late than never.

“religious beliefs he created the Uganda Christian Democratic Army and began fighting against the government.

Fed Phelps and the Westboro wackos call themselves Christians, too.
“The LRA committed numerous abuses and atrocities, including the abduction, rape, maiming, and killing of civilians, including children.”
Did you notice this part? Rush admitted the LRA isn’t Christian. Google “Machine Gun Preacher”.
