Perry is an evangelical Christian. They don’t allow those in the club. His energy speech was awesome.
And sane Republican candidate will do the same.
Carter, Reagan, G.W. Bush were as well. So what? Many Evangelicals who back Perry also back amnesty for illegals, like Dr. Richard Land. It isn't enough. And Anita Perry's whining complaints about his "faith" were preposterous.
That he can read a speech his staff developed and his scriptwriters wrote is not really that big a deal..
Perry is a “Clip-on” Christian.
When Christian is inconvenient, he just unclips it, and puts it in its case, and clips on his Islam, or whatever is appropriate.
