Republican presidential hopeful Herman Cain makes visit to Bartlett (TN)
The Commercial Appeal ^ | 10/15/11 | Clay Baily

Posted on 10/15/2011 9:25:13 AM PDT by GailA

Cain said the rally is simple: “The message is more powerful than money, and the American people like the message.”

“... Some of the pundits are finally getting it,” Cain told the crowd, drawing sustained applause. “The voice of the people is more powerful than the voice of the media. ... The voice of the people is going to decide who’s going to be the nominee, and the voice of the people is going to decide who is going to be the next president of the United States of America.”

“Stupid people are running America,” Cain told the crowd, “and we’ve got to out-vote them in 2012.”

“It’s called the Second Amendment,” he said. “That’s what we call it. It is an unalienable right. And, you know what? I kind of like my guns and my Bible.”

Guy on the news said the man who won the FL straw poll, usually wins the nominations.

UNLESS you want a MSM and DNC hand picked GOP candidate, better do your digging on them before voting. Because the elite in the GOP want the most liberal presidential contender they can find. A plastic haired Ken, who spends more money on hair cuts, manicures and standing in front of a mirror than the average women.

Cain was plain spoken, didn’t look down his nose at us, and came to us in his shirt sleeves and vest. Not an Armani $2K suit.

Isn’t “Speak truth to power” a good slogan? So is “Dissent is patriotic.”

Cain is doing both. Good for him!

“And, you know what? I kind of like my guns and my Bible.”

When he said that the old man standing in front of me got so excited I feared he would have a heart attack.

You have me confused. First, I think it is Romney you are talking about and then you go on to praise Cain who has supported Romney and still says he’d be Romney’s VP, but not Perry’s. I don’t get it.

At the close of the Constitutional Convention, a woman asked Benjamin Franklin what type of government the Founding Fathers gave us. Franklin replied, “A republic, if you can keep it.”

The question now is, are we going to keep America as a REPUBLIC, or let the socialist, communist and Marxist take it over, bit, by bit?

Remember these gentlemen don't you? They gave you your FREEDOM from the tyranny of English rule. And we have traded it away by being BRAIN WASHED to continually vote for the lesser of 2 evils. Evil is evil, NO 2 ways about it. Just because 1 is of a lesser evil still does NOT change the fact, they still are more interested in the welfare of a few chosen ones like themselves and not in the entire USA.

"Government is not reason; it is not eloquent; it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master." - George Washington

Half a truth is often a great lie. Benjamin Franklin

‎"If ever a time should come, when vain and aspiring men should posses the highest seats in government, our country will stand in need of its experienced patriots to prevent its ruin" -- Samuel Adams, Father of the American Revolution

"The Constitution is not an instrument for the government to restrain the people, it is an instrument for the people to restrain the government -- lest it come to dominate our lives and interests." - Father Patrick Henry

“One of the best-kept secrets about Herman Cain is he was born not too far from here,” he said, then adding: “I’ve got a lot of relatives here in Bartlett, Tenn. And as far as I’m concerned, all of y’all are my relatives today.”

Cain said the rally is simple: “The message is more powerful than money, and the American people like the message.”

And "Mr. Smarty Pants" Karl Rove was on Hannity last night berating Cain for being in western Tennessee as well as he will not go anywhere because he has not as much money as Romney or Perry. When I heard that remark, I said to my wife, Herman Cain has the message, the other guys are too busy trying to buy one when there is none to be bought.

Perry supporters need to stop posting this lie on every thread.

Cain supported Romney in 2008. So what. Perry supported Guiliani in 2008.

Cain didn’t say he would be “Romney’s VP” he said he would be “anyone’s VP except Perry” and he went on to say WHY he said that, and it all had to do with the borders and tuition for illegals.

Cain has criticized Romney several times (jobs, Romneycare, missing the debates), I’ve posted the links here several times, and made him look ridiculous at the last debates because he exposed the fact that Romney’s tax plan is a mess.

NOW he is tied with or beating Romney in most polls - all YOU are doing is helping Romney at this point.

Says part 1, I looked to see if there was a part 2 and didn’t find any ‘yet’.

We had 1 lone wall streeter, and they kept him VERY far away from us.

I would like to be able to save his speech as a file, but it will not let you down load it. It should go up on U tube.

Romney and Perry are the elite, blue bloods of the GOP. Both remind me of Ken dolls, not a hair out of place. More talk the talk, and less walk the walk.

We have been digging dirt just as hard as the FBI on all these candidates. None are perfect, but I prefer some one who talks to me on a personal level, than one who uses big words, takes 15 mins to say what can be said in 1 minute.

This Bible clutcher, gun owner, Jesus believer is clinging to them, and the Marxist in the WH will have to pry them from my hands.

The elite, blue bloods of the GOP are trying to pick the candidate, they forget it is WE THE PEOPLE, not we the politician!

We have been through the dull, boring Dole’s and McCain’s simply because it was their turn. BOTH LOST.

Cain has the touch of an old time fire in the belly preacher in him, where as his fellow candidates have little or NO passion, no fire in the belly, they just look good on TV.
