SCOTTS VALLEY - Dozens of people turned out Friday to say goodbye to Lintelle Engineering founder Bill Turner, who hosted a picnic for current and former staff in the company parking lot on El Pueblo Road.
Lintelle, founded in 1989, was forced to close after its largest customer, Solyndra, filed for bankruptcy owing $1.9 million for equipment built by Lintelle employees. The bankruptcy filing came despite Solyndra receiving a $535 million federal loan guarantee.
"It's hard to see this happen," asked Teri Stacher, 47, of Santa Cruz, who worked for Lintelle for 12 years. "We figured with the federal government backing that they did their research. It wasn't true. Will anything be learned from this experience?"

A little economic lesson here. Wealth equals production minus consumption. So much of what Obama proposes involves consumption with marginal production. As the wealth of this country is consumed, so are jobs and opportunity. Didn’t need a Harvard education to learn that.

Did they learn anything? I doubt it. Others, if observant and have a firm grasp of the obvious, might only do COD business with any of the alternate energy company scams.
Renewable energy companies need to be on cash in advance..not COD. The specialized gear they need doesn’t have a ready market.

Dick Morris said in his book, Catastrophe that the TARP money for the banks is still sitting in a vault at the Fed., 800 billion dollars of it. He said that the banks used enough to balance their books and try to restore confidence, but when that didn’t work, they just refused to take the rest of the money.
Morris says that Obama then tried putting pressure on Hedge Funds to package money loans, like car loans, consumer loans and home equity loans to get the banks loaning money, but it all sounded to much like the sub-prime, so banks weren’t having any part of it.
So, the money just sits in the vault and the Fed prints more money.

Did you read the piece on National Review? So much of the money went to GE. It’s a money laundering scheme, that’s all it is.
Right now the Obama administration has another scheme they are pushing in my county, a coal terminal. Patty Murray has written a bill to fund the project (Infrastructure and transportation Re-investment and Grants Act), that became part of, if not the basis for the Obama jobs bill. Murray’s husban works for the company that will operate the terminal, SSA, Goldman Sach owns the majority stake in the project and Warren Buffet’s RRs will carry the cargo, coal. SSA is ILWU, a communist longshoremen union that was employed Frank Marshall Davis in Hawaii, as a writer for a newspaper that they owned.
Another money laundering scheme for Obama.
The islamic communist puppet’s regime government used the fake green idea to steal money. millions and billions and trillions, from the American People.
And if other businesses failed, more happier days for those communists.
