True. The silent majority turned out for Nixon in '68 in much the same climate as we have now...

The Tea Party has not been silent though... there have been marches on the mall and numerous gatherings in towns all around the nation. I think we will need to stay vigilant because this OWS is not going away... they are funded. These leftist causes are astroturf and planned.

I have to add. One of the very first beginnings of the Tea Party was when Ted - I forget his last name - and his horse Thunder rode from the mid west to DC during the Clinton impeachment.

It was covered quite heavily here on FR and brought so many conservatives together!

We lined the route, helped Ted and Thunder along the way, and more importantly connected together via the internet. Talk about social media!

It was a congealing moment. We realized - as Rush and others had already pointed out - Conservatives are not alone! We are Middle America!

After the ride we gathered not just here on FR but on other websites, in homes and eventually in the Tea Party movement.
