Yes q_an_a, I'm familiar with Jennifer Rubin. She gets some right and she gets some wrong.

Here's one she got right...

Rick Perry and Israel

You want people back to work or you want to continue smearing and trashing. Silly comments.

The opening of drilling leases are an executive function. However, Perry would not go against any state Governor. He is a firm believe in states rights. He also would NOT go against the wishes of Congress.

There are some Paul, Bachmann, Cain and Romney supporters that have been pretty vicious against Perry.

so after saying I am some kind of lefty - you have an ah hah about Jennifer Rubin and that maybe there are other points of view - for conservatives in Tx - than to suck up to Perry. Thanks for your gracious response.

“Geez you folks so in love with Perry should look at his debate performance and see that that is the best he has. He is all politican and not much else.”

If Perry were “all politician” then wouldn’t his debate performances have been stellar? Politicians are great “debaters” in front of a TV camera, but genuine people are better in front of a town hall or shaking hands and talking to real people face to face...Perry is the latter, not the former. The debates are for people who like to make soundbytes...9-9-9 for example.

I never said you were a lefty, what gave you that idea? Are you sure you’re replying to the right person?

geez did you read the link you put up and the comments - help me to understand what you are trying to say when you say folks like me attack Perry and should be on some other forum. Can’t conservatives disagree without being disagreable?

Shaking hands doesn’t make a politican but debates do? You might want to read the Jennifer Rubin blog on Perry, she thinks Mitch Daniels and John Kasich get it right in running a state and Perry kicked the can. Then he ran around telling folks, who don’t live in Texas, what a great job he has done - not from where I sit...in Texas.

I didn’t say you were attacking Perry. You talked about Rubin who was being critical of Perry and you seemed to agree with her. I thought Herman Cain might be more to your liking so I provided you with a link to a thread about him and suggested you might enjoy it more than a thread about Perry. I was being helpful, not disagreeable, so I’m not sure what your beef is.
