Governor and Anita Perry, Who Wants Presidency More?

The Perry's have hit a wall, they may or may not be able to break through it. This election is taking on a mind of its own and even the GOP cannot control voters. While voters are dumping Perry for Cain, Romney is at a standstill.

Governor Perry and his wife have a long road ahead of them on the way to the White House. She sounds whiny about them being criticized. The Perry's will have to learn to roll with the punches, defend the punches or just duck.

Oh my. There's a link in this article of video of Mrs. Perry complaining about how her husband is being treated. She even breaks into tears in the beginning.

I saw that video. Let's be accurate. She did get choked up and had to stop and regain her composure as she spoke about her grandfather but she didn't "break into tears".

She paints her husband as a “victim” of GOP and media abuse.

Stay around the Perrys very long and you know who wears the pants in that family. Ricky-boy is so “whipped”. And, btw, Anita; did you see the friggin’ debates? Your husband is the victim of his own ineptness, narcissism and stupidity. Now, you two mosey on back to Texas and shut your ignorant mouths before you embarrass our State any more than you already have.

Anita is a step away from joining the OWS’ers.

Perry needs to step up or step aside, but honestly..the little lady stepping in doesn’t do him any good. There’s fiesty and there’s whiny and this was definitely whiny.

You excerpted you post from page two.

It actually starts here with talk about SARAH PALIN and the fact that neither Perry were standing up for her when she was under siege, (FWIW)

Rick Perry appears to be a decent human being who loves his wife, the State of Texas and the US.

Anita Perry did not help his candidacy for POTUS.

The MSNBC author is a random blogger with an axe to grind.
Anita Perry did not whine, she came off as genuine and sweet ,
a typical Southern lady talking about her Christian faith.
She choked up talking about her grandfather
taking her to church as a child.
The left always feels threatened by Southern women.
I don’t know if it’s their accents or demeanor or graciousness that sets them off.
Anita would be a wonderful First Lady .

Another “Stand By My Man” Hillary moment.

The one thing I admire about Herman Cain and Sarah Palin is that their spouses stayed out of the campaign.

This is the second time that Anita Perry has told folks that they aren't being fair to her husband.

This does not bode well for a man who will have the pressure of the United States of America's future in his hands.

You’d think Rick would tell Anita that this isn’t seemly to complain before the public like this. I mean, even Michelle Obama wasn’t that bad in the 2008 campaign season.

I haven’t seen any other candidate’s spouse on National Television complaining about how their better half is being treated in their run for the White House.

I don’t need a First Lady or a First Husband giving pressers defending their spouse.

JMHO

And to be fair, Rick wasn’t looking like a mama’s boy before this happened. I hope his campaign advisors are sending him a new pair of Wrangler jeans, highly suggesting that he wear them.

So true. The few glimpses we have of Todd helped Sarah.

The following quote will galvanize some reporters to uncover the enigma:

“Don’t expect the traditional amount of exposure you normally get from a campaign wife,” Cain said about his wife, Gloria. “She’s not going to do that.”

The premise of the article is, if she gets upset by attacks on her husband, maybe she wants the Presidency even more than he does.

This is a ridiculous premise, and I utterly reject it.

What is obviously true...all mind reading and motive impugning aside...is that the severe critique of her husband has gotten to her, and she engaged in a bit of self pity (for him, not her, but he and she are husband/wife) and motive impugning, herself.

I hope she learns from what this has caused her husband to have to do on her behalf, on this day of all days when his story was the rollout of his energy economy jobs plan.

I sympathize with Anita Perry’s feelings towards her husband and his campaign troubles, but her subjective feelings as his wife isn’t where the focus should be, and can only cause him additional troubles.

Again, issue has nothing to do with “how much she wants the Presidency”, per the article...

Yep, it's easy to see why he said that his wife told him to "get out of his comfort zone and get in the race".

Ricky wants a Corona and some Texas bar-b-que, a deer steak and a siesta, not more debate prep.

Anita threatened to "zip it up" so he is trudging on.

Let me ask you this though: Do you buy into her complaint that Democrats and Republicans were "brutalizing" her husband over his Christianity?

In my view, that's where she lost many people. If she said they were "brutalizing" him over his record in Texas, comments he's made to various groups, policies he believes in, the friends he keeps, etc. she'd probably get some sympathy, at least from Perry supporters.

But religion? Republicans are much more down on Romney (and Huntsman) for the Mormon thing, and Democrats and the media are much more down on Bachmann as the crazy Christian lady, when you look at how Perry has been treated.
