......That statement by Robert Jeffress, senior pastor at First Baptist Church in Dallas, came as he introduced Perry at a recent speech....

It doesn't matter to the MSM that Jeffress made his statement after he introduced Gov. Perry and it had no connection to Gov. Perry.

“Yesterday at the Value Voters Summit, Texas Governor Rick Perry was introduced by the Reverend Robert Jeffress. This, according to the Washington Post, is how the introduction went.

2:27 pm: Texas Gov. Rick Perry is introduced by Southern Baptist Convention leader Robert Jeffress, who endorsed the candidate recently. Jeffress called Perry “the most pro-life governor in the United States of America.” He also alluded to Perry’s recent debate fumbles, saying, “do we want a candidate who is skilled in rhetoric, or one who is skilled in leadership?”

Perry came on stage to loud, enthusiastic applause.

What generated the news were remarks made by Rev. Jeffress after Governor Perry’s speech when Politico’s Alexander Burns he was asked if Mitt Romney is a Christian.”....

.....”Jeffress said that he had not spoken with Perry about his views on Romney’s faith and was “in no way speaking for him.” In an email, Perry campaign spokesman Robert Black said that the campaign didn’t choose Jeffress to introduce Perry and does not share his view of Mormonism.”.....

His interview on Fox and Friends was great (didn’t see the GMA interview). Interesting that AP just wants to continue to spread a lie.

I’m looking forward to hearing Perry’s energy-jobs speech today.

Do you know if it will be streamed live?

Oh brother. You still support this liberal loser....really???? Lol. You sure are loyal to a 5 percent candidate. I feel sorry for you. Really Perry should drop out and endorse Cain. Perry is embarrassing himself and the Republicans.

CBS: “Perry also dismissed criticism of his ties to Pastor Robert Jeffress.

“From the get-go, first time we were asked, we said we did not agree with what that pastor said, and that’s the fact,” Perry said. “Just because someone has endorsed me doesn’t mean I endorse what they say or what they do. And that’s’ the case here and we have said that repeatedly. So I think anyone trying to use this as a political tool just needs to look at the facts.

“We clearly said we didn’t agree with that statement. But on the other side of it, if I have to spend all of my time disassociating myself with what someone says about me - or for that matter if President Obama has to disassociate people who support him with things they say - we are not going to get much time to talk about how create jobs in this country and that is what Americans are interested in.

“They are not interested in these side issues and side shows. They are interested in how you are you going to be able to get me, my family to have an environment where we have the dignity to have a job. I’m laying out that today at Pittsburgh and there are going to be a lot of Americans, Democrats and Republicans and Independents that say you know that’s a pet fellow who has a plan for America and I’m going to be for him because he is the one that understands what is going on in this country.”

Yesterday the governor’s wife, Anita Perry, described the past month on the campaign as “brutal.” “But we are survivors and we’re warriors, and we’re climbing back up that hill to try to save America,” she said.

“Well, families always take these elections probably as tough as anybody. My wife said two things yesterday, she said he’s the most conservative candidate in the race and he’s a Christian. And I can’t argue with either one of those facts.”

We only have two men in this race. Romney and Perry...no one else has money or organization even Washington Post recognized this with their article yesterday.

I saw Perry this morning on Fox & Friends. They tried to press him on illegal immigrants currently plotzed here in the USA and he had no answer. In fact, he said it wasn’t an issue until the Feds controlled the border.

On a media note, he got the deer-in-the-headlight look every time a new question was about to be posed. Once it became clear he could handle the question, he relaxed somewhat. Thinks his wife was an asset yesterday!

Rick Perry is a bottom line man. He cuts through the garbage and goes where we need to go. This is certainly a Texas trait. I do the identical thing...pass all the silly garbage and hit the bottom line of the situtation along with the solution to that particular problem.

He also is not a know it all. I see people all the time who have all the answers but Perry is not that guy. He is what I would call coachable. In this I mean, he will change what is not working, eventually, recognize his mistake and rectify it.

He's gonna pound energy as part of his job creation plan first but he's not gonna throw it all out there. Cain has 9-9-9 and that is it. It is in the process of being ripped to shreds.

Where will Cain's Florida numbers go when Mitt or Perry tell grandma that Cain wants to put a 9% tax on their food and medicine and everything else they buy?

I am amazed at how politically tone deaf some on FR are. This is about winning also.
