Educate me please. I thought the Ecat already converted heat to electricity. What practical use is a reactor that produces heat but not electricity?
Andrea Rossi was too skinny, but still sexy in “Better Off Ted.” No, wait a second... this is real life; that was a comedy about a team of misfit scientists constantly trying to scam the corporation they worked for. No, actually, come to think of it,...
For now it only produces heat. So it should be a cheap, limitless heating supply. The technology is in its infancy.
The potential is obviously enormous, once the reaction is stabilized enough to produce steam above 400 deg C and then from that it just needs a turbine to generate electricity.
Nahh, seagull poop has a more rotten fish smell to it.
One step at a time , O impatient one:

Cold fusion? I ain´t holding my breath.
Do I have this right?:
A guy named Rossi claims he’s going to have a 40 cubic centimeter, one megawatt nuclear power generator in operation in a few weeks, the design of which he does not have, but is advertising for in hopes someone else will provide it - cheap?
No you do not have it right.
As simplicity breeds truth
Over simplicity breed illusion.
Can you briefly say which part I read wrong?
Exactly, and do it as cheap or cheaper than coal or nuke.
I’m not sure how all these people here have inside info as to the fraudulent certainty of his invention, but seeing the general lack of proof of that claim I’m keeping an open mind in the interim.
“The potential is obviously enormous, once the reaction is stabilized enough to produce steam above 400 deg C and then from that it just needs a turbine to generate electricity.”
Even if it produced steam only at atmospheric pressure (212 F.), it would be worth zillions just to desalinate sea water...
He's going to do all that in a small box and have it on the market in a few months?
From your article:
The E-Cat basic module for the People, that we will put in commerce within months, will be 40 cm long, 40 cm large, 40 cm high, will weight 60 kg, the shape of a cube.
“He’s going to do all that in a small box and have it on the market in a few months?”
Nope, the small box is the one to be sold to the public for 500 euros per KW capability. It will just heat water.
he claimed months ago that this thing would be ready in October, now he is saying he doesn’t even have it designed.
Not surprised.....not in the least
