Reminds me of something my mother told me when I was just a little one. She said the best thing a woman could do to prevent becoming pregnant was to practice keeping her legs closed by placing an aspirin between her knees then keeping it in place by squeezing. Never fully understood why she told be that since it was many years later that I even thought much about women. I was too busy playing and being a boy.

Well, the liberal view is that “sexual expression” is some sort of civil right. And, the liberal view is also that a baby is a punishment, if they find out that there are consequences to their “sexual expression”.
At the core, congressmen/women such as this Betty Sutton think that unplanned pregnancy just happens, and that abortion is needed to deal with same. The idea of prevention of an unplanned consequence to an activity is outside the frame of reference of these liberals.

Only Marxists believe it is other people’s responsibily to fix other people’s bad behavior.
I tell my granddaughters, as they reach puberty, it is their responsibility to not get pregnant before marriage to a committed partner. That responsibility includes not putting theselves at risk by attending events where drugs/alcohol are present or otherwise making themselves vulnerable. Doing so is the quickest way to derail one’s future.
