Our governor, Paul LePage, is a TEA Party conservative who doesn’t take any guff from liberals.
During his first few days in office, he repealed Maine’s status as a “sanctuary” state. He also stated that those people who “demanded” he attend a breakfast for the Martin Luther King holiday could “kiss my ass.” He doesn’t suffer fools lightly.

Well, I would agree that your new governor is a breath of fresh air, but ME has been very much a tax and spend liberal state. Is it ready to change? I guess time will tell.
I also doubt that the ows is going to be much of an influence given the cold climate and the relatively thin population.
Not only that, he outright stated the NAACP is a "special interest group"
