Since the surge in polls, the Cain campaign has received a flood of calls from the press and volunteers alike. According to Cain's Iowa operation, the number of members in their state Facebook group has increased 80 percent in the last week.
"We have four people on staff in Iowa. We're the leanest campaign in the state, I would venture to say nationally as well," said Iowa campaign staffer Lisa Lockwood. "Mr. Cain is running a business here, just like he always has. We're lean and strong, and we're exercising very hard to further the metaphor," she said, laughing.
In total, Herman Cain has just 35 people on the payroll nationally, which has some political operatives in early primary states raising questions about whether the campaign can translate the momentum into something concrete.

You already do, you just don't "see" it. Do you really think companies selling perishable items eat the tax on the materials and cost of shipping (fuel taxes)? Hell no, they pass that along into the products price. I dare say as of current, you are probably paying more than 9%.
It’s just him. I’m a Cain supporter and I certainly respect your opinion WCG and your right to express it. 999 scares the heck out of me too. But the more I look at it; the more I think it’s brilliant in a radical sort of way.
In 2006, Cain was diagnosed with Stage IV cancer in his colon and metastases to his liver and given a 30 percent chance of survival. Cain underwent surgery and chemotherapy following the diagnosis, and has since reported that he is cancer-free.
Are you friggin' kidding me?
As for Mr Perry if he doesn't make it I would not care since he is my governor and I will enjoy more years with him here at home..
Rick Perry was elected Lieutenant Governor in 1998. He assumed the Governorship in December, 2000 when George Bush resigned.and has run this state ever since..
Like I said before I will not vote for Mitt Romney and that is where we are headed..
Damn bud, I thought I was tough while looking for a "perfect candidate". This takes the cake.
No I am not..Look it up..or better still I will for you..

Go down where it says Cancer and that is about half way down the page...
Forgot to mention..Sister died of cancer, brother died with Colon cancer that spread to the liver, mother died with colon cancer and father died with cancer of the lungs and never smoked at all..
That's nice, but after all, who is Art Laffer compared to the instant algal bloom of economic einsteins on this forum?
Surely nobody thinks that the 999 plan in its current form is going to be the one that is finally implemented after the years of hashing it over have occurred. Who knows what it will be by then?
Witty! Maybe another candidate will steal that bit of genius from you.
Oh, wait...
I can tell you this before I would settle for just anyone I will not vote..I was banking on Sarah Palin which was silly I know since she did not say she was running..Now had my eye on a couple of them but according to the polls no one is ahead but Cain and Romney (I do not believe in polls) but others do so bet their vote on the highest persons in the polls..I for one really like Rick Sanatorum..Or Michelle Bachmann and also ,but they have no chance according to some here at FR..
Glad you are surviving. My brother died of skin cancer (squamos cell), and my hubby was just diagnosed with prostate cancer.
I still would vote for Cain. Heck, I figure if Christie was running, I’d be more concerned about his health than Cain’s.
