Norquist and Juan Williams are against it.

Therefore, I must take a serious look at it!

Santorum doesn’t like it either.

BTW, anyone going to the AFP event in DC with Mark & Mr. Cain?

Here I am to defend the last caller.

That caller earned $82K a year, paid $7800 in income tax, and SPENT THE REST. That’s a tax rate of about 9.5% As he said clearly and repeatedly he was living paycheck to paycheck. That is he paid bills, spent his all his income money. If he were a business his NET income after taxes would be ZERO.

The caller thus spends about $74K a year. Spending would be taxed by the Herman 999, at 9%. That’s about $6700 in NEW FEDERAL SALES TAX. Money the caller doesn’t have.

The total Federal Taxes paid under 999 plan for the caller is thus $14500.

IF MARK’S “Repealed 16th” variant comes into effect, Mark seemed to suggest that the Federal sales tax rate would be 14%. That’s still higher than what the caller said.

The caller was likely a Tea Partier. He CERTAINLY understood he own economic interests very well.

Mark was wrong on this one.

You didn’t calculate in used goods and utilities which are untaxed.

No I did not, nor did Mr. Levin or the caller mention that. In truth, Mr. Levin, kept cutting off the caller as he attempted to explain what he was spending on.

I know in my case utilities run around $4K a year or so, and the amount spent on “used” goods in a year is not much more than #1k, maybe below. That’s not enough to effect the basic numbers of the caller’s objection.

naw - this is the vac site

http://www.veteransairlift.org/

its flights for injured vets to or from treatment - OR - for family and friends to visit the vets

there is a group that will supply commercial air fare - but with prosthetics or worse, its not always possible to fly commercial

this group is very lax and has few rules - plus - each flight is for the vet or family - not hitching a ride with a business flight

Wow, the seat actually comes over and glides down to lift the driver up?

How incredibly wonderful!
