Why would DeMint or Ryan leave powerful jobs in Congress/Senate and sign on to be a VP (bucket of warm spit) for a novice who has never won an election and knows nothing about how to work around govt bureaucracies?

Sounds like Herm is tossing out names

If either DeMint ot Ryan was really interested in the WH vs Congress, Herm would be a dot on the distant polling horizon

Tell me who HAS successfully worked around government bureaucracies. Reagan didn’t, neither Bush did either. Carter, Clinton and Obama certainly haven’t. Why is it impossible for a non-politician to do it? Cain has incredible leadership ability. If he can get elected, he would be a fine executive in the public sector just as he was in the private sector.

You're right we need another lifetime career politician and wonderful bureaucrat.

Just like those Founding Fathers, eh?

You seem to suggest that Cain has no hope of beating a very weak Obama. You’re alternatively arguing that VP isn’t important, which is nonsense considering its history as stepping stone to the Oval Office.

I think you’re feigning concern for you own political reasons.

Bump to both your post and your tagline; I agree on both points!

It’s DeMint retiring at the end of this senate term?

So you want another beltway insider?

Quite frankly, I don't want anyone who has that kind of infectious disease. I want a businessman.

If we had principled people in DC for the last 60 years who believed in our Constitution, understood economics, accounting, finance, and business, we wouldn't be in this mess.
