WASHINGTON - US President Barack Obama said on Thursday "individuals in the Iranian government" were aware of the alleged plot to assassinate the Saudi ambassador to Washington, and they must be held accountable.
"We believe that even if at the highest levels there was not detailed operational knowledge, there has to be accountability," Obama told a joint news conference with the visiting South Korean president.

Reminds me of the old movie
Best Little Whorehouse in Texas where TV newsman Melvin P. Thorpe (Dom Delouise) was accusing Sheriff Ed Earl (Burt Reynolds) of being a phony. While making this accusation, Melvin was getting ready to go on camera and was putting a corsett on to make him look much slimmer than he actually was.
Honestly, Zer0's overuse of the word "unprecedented" would have its highest and best use to describe his own infinite hypocrisy.

WASHINGTON - US President Barack Obama said on Thursday “individuals in my administration” were aware of the alleged operation (Fast and Furious) which led to the murder of a US border agent, and they must be held accountable.
“We believe that even if at the highest levels there was not detailed operational knowledge, there has to be accountability,” Obama told a joint news conference with the visiting South Korean president.
There. I fixed it.

Every nation hatches entire armies of dirty tricksters who's job it is to plan endless plots on who and what to blow up in other places. It's what they call security and policy.
How is it alarming to anyone that Iran would plan to blow up an Israeli enbassy? The rulers of Iran work at that every day. The Israeli's wake up every day working to thwart it.
Heck, Bill Clinton blew up the Chinese Embassy in Bosnia! Old maps my a$$..........

Agreed. And if they go operational, it's what I call war.

I was not arguing the case for doing so. I am arguing the contradiction in policy. We, who blow people and buildings up with drones or laser painted targets from 55,000 feet over foreign soil in covert actions, cannot claim outrage when our enemies plan to do something similar. Obama’s own statements and his justice department have been very clear on matters like this. Iran will have charges brought against it and it’s up to our legal system to bring them to justice. /S

to whom is this demand directed?
didn’t he say during the election that he could solve the Iran threat by sitting down and having a conversation with them?

Part of me supposes that this whole “plot” was ginned up to take the heat off Holder for Fast & Furious. However, the way 0bama is playing it, he comes off as being more and more of a total wuss when it comes to foreign affairs. If you play it as a “lone wolf” wacko, you can sweep Iran’s involvement under the rug and do nothing and not lose face. But once you publicly claim that the Iranian government was behind the plot, but do NOTHING about it.... Well, if 0bama had any diplomatic credibility left it’s gone now.
I think Achmedinijad and Putin got on the phone and are having a great laugh right now. I don’t think it’s that funny.
