Trade deficit steady at $45.6 billion in August

The nation’s trade deficit held steady at $45.6 billion in August from the prior month, the Commerce Department said. The trade gap in July was revised up from the initial estimate of $44.8 billion.

The deficit in August was close to the consensus of analysts surveyed by MarketWatch.

Any “conservative” who finds this alarming, likes to TALK about reading Friedman, Sowell, & Williams, but in reality never has.

I’m all for free markets - to the point that I think even our trading partners currencies should trade on one.

its not free trade, but because US is uncompetitive because of taxes and regulation
