Some people want drugs legalised.

The legal drugs will never bring the thrill of the illegal drugs. That is something the liberals/libertarians never want to discuss.

I do not favor the drug war, either. I favor holding individuals accountable for their actions.

I do not use them and I don’t like them.

However, I would legalize them so they can be regulated so that they safe to use so you don’t see people rot away like that.

That woman with the forearm has got to be in a world of hurt.

i thought that was the whole point of legalising drugs? if they're common, readily available, and regulated, it takes away a lot of the mystique and makes it less tempting.

I assume you are not talking from experience. I was in the UK when heroin addicts could register for free heroin. I can assure you those that were successful were absolutely thrilled. So much so a lot more people wanted on the program than got on.
Biggest problem was the registered addicts would get more heroin than they needed and sell off the excess. That was the major factor in ending the program.
