I am reminded of the film Soylent Green where they had garbage trucks with front loader scoops cleaning the streets.
My 60-year-old brother-in-law did and still does fancy himself a flower child. the other day he was watching the Wall Street demonstrators with a mixture of longing and remorse that he was not there.
He and his wife actually believe they have all the answers and that they care more for my children than I do.
It is impossible to engage them in political discussion. They’re response to anything they haven’t heard on NPR is “well, I don’t know about that”. Their response to factual arguments that contradict what they want to believe is simply silence or a reverting to demrat talking points endlessly repeated.
Sadly none of the conservative pres. candidates have even talked about the crucial need to take back our public schools.
This is a bunch of Marxist taught rich kids getting an all expenses paid trip to NYC. While they are doing that, if their parents were smart, they would catch up on all the loving they couldn’t do with a brat running around the house, complaining that Mickey d’s is only paying 7 bucks an hour.
I’m thinking of sending my kid. Cheaper than Europe with the same unwashed scum milling about.
