Jonathan Gruber, MIT professor: "The truth is that the Affordable Care Act is essentially based on what we accomplished in Massachusetts. It's the same basic structure applied nationally. John McDonough, one of the other advisers, who work in both Massachusetts and advised the White House said 'it's the Massachusetts with three more zeros.' And that's basically a good description of what the federal bill did."

Push this out to all Romney supporters! We need to eliminate him from the running!
Well, isn’t that just dandy. And it worked so well in MA (not). How hard do think Romney would work to rid us of O’Romneycare?
No problem . This will be posted at least 4 or 5 times a day. The one thing this site has in common with the freakazoids on the left is Romney hate. Keep up the good work idiots.
Huh. Romney’s healthcare adviser casually admits that Obamacare was based off of Romneycare.
Doesn’t this bother you?
BINGO!
Saw this story last night for the first time. Didn't know what to make of it at first glance. Rush talked about it today and was surprised Perry didn't attack Romney with it last night at the debate. Perry did quiz Romney about his adviser Glen Hubbard who said Obamacare was directly based on Romneycare. Then Romney retaliated and Perry retreated.
Hopefully this will work hard against Romney and be his Achilles heal. Kill the sob!
I’m voting for the person whose name is followed by (R) on the ballot.
“Im voting for the person whose name is followed by (R) on the ballot.”
I am too, but I’m tired of being given the choice of either a needle in my left eye vs. a needle in my right eye. I don’t want the lesser of two evils. I want my country to thrive, and I don’t think that will ever happen again unless socialism is defeated and left in the trash. There’s a reason why Romney got elected in the Socialist Republic of Massachusetts, and it’s not because he was a solid conservative.
It bothers the crap outta me. No frickin’ way i’ll vote for a guy who pushed this - and “says” he’ll repeal it. NO effing way.
=====>Im voting for the person whose name is followed by (R) on the ballot.=====<
Me too ... the general. But in the primary I’ll NEVER vote for Romney.
I expect that when the primaries begin, Romney will soon fade out. He should run as a Dem.
Of course he’ll explain it away.
Carville(D):
"It's a feel-good story, this Romney thing.
Romney is an ascendant guy."
Sen. John Kerry (D) to Don Imus on RomneyCARE:
"I like this health care bill".
Sen. Hillary Clinton (D) on RomneyCARE:
"To come up with a bipartisan plan in this polarized environment is commendable."
No one should vote for the GOP if they take
Milt.
We will work against the GOP which will have
chosen its own demise.
So when Romney is in the White House and you get Romneycare ,Obamacare dont Complain
bump
Vote Conservative at all levels down to dog-catcher. Don’t vote for RINOs.
Among the things Democrats will say if Romney is nominated is that Obama’s policies are just fine and the Republicans just don’t like him because he’s black. It’s started already, and it will only intensify.
So the Republicans don’t get any traction with the “independents”, and alienate their own base to boot. What the hell are they trying to accomplish?
I predict a third party candidacy - which guarantees Obama a win.
And the Republican party will end up in third place.
I hope I am wrong, and that Romney is not the nominee!
I do not doubt that Romney’s Massachusetts health care mandate was one of the models for Obamacare. I do not see why this has to reflect poorly on Romney.
Romneycare was (and is) not a success. This is obvious now and it is discernable from the facts. It accomplished some things, but at a cost far too steep. Romney has said that some things would be done differently now (I sure hope so) and he has said about a billion times that he does not think what they did in Massachusetts would be appropriate at the federal level. He’s running on getting rid of Obamacare.
I do *not* particularly care for Romney as a candidate. I did not in 2008 and I don’t now. In Virginia, that doesn’t matter because the primary race has long since been decided by the time I would get to vote. However, I will crawl on my hands and knees over broken glass to vote against Obama. A lot of people on this site say they’re voting on “principle” but the truth is a conservative who doesn’t support the more conservative candidate is like an Allied soldier who didn’t fire his weapon at the Germans. He’s not helping them directly, but he sure as hell isn’t helping his own side.
Obama has been an absolute disaster. I’m young and I live in a swing state. I do not have the luxury of throwing my vote away because I’ll die in a few years. I do not have the luxury of throwing my vote away because I live in a deep blue or deep red state and my vote essentially doesn’t count. I am a sane American and I recognize that I need to vote for the more conservative candidate RIGHT NOW, and that person will have an (R) after their name. That candidate will almost certainly be too inclined towards big government. That candidate will also definitely be a massive improvement over the Marxist in the office right now. That’s the fact of it. Liberals are not the only people who suffer from Stage One thinking - apparently it’s a ton of people on this site as well.
