With these drones...any need for pilots these days? That is non-key board pilots.

That's a piloted vehicle. One of the best for the current situations we're seeing. We have F-15s for air superiority and intercept, F-16s for CAP and some intercepts, BUFFs for making large holes in terrain (with 18 bombs, a B-52 can make a big-ass golf course in just seconds). And some other aircraft like the A-10 that is good for those minor things like close support with a bad-ass cannon and a forever hang time.

This AC would be great for what we face today.

Not very sexy for Mach 1+ pilots, but they do work for us.

Yes. because some day we may have to fight where people have effective jammer equipment.

I have wondered what a large spark gap transmitter would do to the data link to a drone. Its brutally low tech but it hits almost all bands and is well dirt cheap to build.
