I yet to sit down and carefully wade through all the details of his 999 plan. But I believe it is fair so say that more then once, including last night in defense of his plan, he tried to stress the point, that first the whole tax code system must be scrapped, he used the word abolished. Then his plan put in place. So there are no double dippings on say the federal sales tax. Regardless of the details however. I can see where it would lead to reduced revenue intake. His plan doesn't have a chance in hell in passing either house.
In short. Unless a balance budget amendment comes about, 999 would end up most probably increasing the gross national debt over time. I'm sure we shall various plan analysis come forth in the days to come.

Maybe congress will start with 9-9-9 and pass 18-18-18 except for those that eat eco-friendly foods and dont smoke and see the doctor, they will get 9-9-9.
