My math says that is just a shade over $225,000 per job.

$224,736.84 per job to be exact. Do you suppose the private sector could do better? < / sarcasm >

I said over? I meant under. And yes, I think the private sector given $427,000,000,000 could do better than creating 1,900,000 jobs.

In fact, if economics still work they way they should, the private sector would likely turn that money into MORE money. The government redistributes a pie taking a piece from you to give to me (or vice versa). The private sector grows the entire pie so we both have bigger pieces.

Yet somehow, people (read: leftist drones) believe we’re better off with government redistribution. I know it’s part jealousy, part laziness, and part envy but I’ll never fully understand it.
