ANN COULTER, AUTHOR: It's a good ad. It's probably Romney's biggest problem, and that was a very strong ad, though I must say there are differences between doing it just in a state and doing it nationally. You can leave a state. You can't leave the country, or at least not quite as easy.
And the other thing is, I mean, the country has spoken. They do not want national health care. Romney himself has said, whatever he says about -- about what he did in Massachusetts, he says his first day in office, he will issue 50 state waivers to Obamacare, every state. We don't have to worry about him making that mistake again.
What it reminds Republicans -- but I think we all knew this -- is that he's not a pure free-marketeer. The Heritage Foundation, by the way, signed off on Romneycare and also in a small defense of Romneycare, though it is not a free market solution. A governor is limited in the solutions he can come up with because of federal laws requiring that hospitals treat anyone who comes to their door, including strings of illegal immigrants with sniffles or who think they're getting a cold. That was the problem Romney was dealing with as a governor.
The problem generally with Obamacare and Romneycare is that they are responding to problems that were created by government intervention in the first place.
INGRAHAM: Right.
COULTER: Yet, at least in the case of Romneycare, he was responding to government problems created by the federal government and not the state government. So it is more defensible.

There’s a huge difference between a State mandating vaccination for school children and mandating that everyone buy pre-paid health care.
One is for the good of the child and the other is for the pocketbook of the State.
States mandate vaccinations for school children so that they won’t catch diseases. The mandate for pre-paid health care is - as Ann said, so the State can control costs.
The Governor’s EO gave the parents’ rights opt out more publicity than all the anti-vaccination people ever had.
Besides, where’s the opt-out in RomneyCare? Fines?
Mandates = government intrusion
Perry had no problem with it even though there was a legislative solution. Apparently Perry and his wife think they know better than parents.
Second, we should restrict the unlimited source of revenue that the federal government has used to grow beyond its constitutionally prescribed powers. One option would be to totally scrap the current tax code in favor of a flat tax, and thereby make taxation much simpler, easier to follow, and harder to manipulate. Another option would be to repeal the Sixteenth Amendment to the Constitution (providing the power for the income tax) altogether, and then pursue an alternative model of taxation such as a national sales tax or the Fair Tax. (p.182)

The Legislature had delegated the authority to mandate vaccines to the Executive Branch years before.
The Legislature mandated a named core of 5 vaccinations (diphtheria, rubeola, rubella, mumps, tetanus, and poliomyelitis) in the original law, and delegated the authority to the DSHS to name others. http://www.statutes.legis.state.tx.us/Docs/ED/htm/ED.38.htm
The head of the DSHS is the Governor, who is the Executive Officer of the State, and names the Director of DSHS with approval by the Senate.
When Romney accepted the endorsement from Christie, Romney said to the press that when the minister said that about Mormons he did it at the same time he endorsed Perry ( not true the minister said it later) and that Perry said ( you hit it out of the ball park “. Meaning that Perry agreed with what the minister said about Mormons. That is a total lie from Romney. I sure as heck hope someone in the media calls Romney on this LIE. I don’t know it it would be on video or not. But it was on FOX.
Does anybody see the spectacle here? The Democrats have the Republicans attacking each other instead of their real enemy.
Third World immigration is the Left's trump card. It will end limited govt. forever. Perry is providing strategic help to the ultimate enemies of America.
The “real enemy” is anyone, regardless of party, who takes positions which undermine limited Constitutional govt. in the U.S. Hispanic immigrants vote 3:1 Demonrat. If their invasion is not stopped, you can kiss the U.S. goodbye as a Free Republic. If the Pubbie Party and the Demonrat Party continue with their bipartisan treason on this issue, I say to hell with both of them.
They’re One Worlders. They don’t want border between our countries.
I saw it, as well. It was during the press conference, when Christie announced his support of Romney. Romney said Perry "invited" the minister. He did not.
Romney is not a flip-flopper. He is a BALD-FACED LIAR. He will say whatever is convenient at the moment, without blinking. He has no character whatsoever!
Right.
Ann gives RomneyCare a pass, because Romney only worked like this in his State and was reacting to the problems that the Feds caused.
and she should have said.....
Perry also only worked like this regarding illegal immigration in his State and was reacting to the problems that the Feds caused.
ironic isn’t it
What is it with Ann and the frickin’ RINO Romney? Is she having an affair with him, does she harbor a crush? What? For someone who has fought the good fight against liberals most of her life to settle for this a**hat of a so called Republican is just ludicrous, as is her lame a**ed defense of him and his national health care BS. It doesn’t matter if the people want it or not, national health care is a bad thing and anyone with an ounce of freedom in their soul realizes it.
