1) Cain as a conservative stands to gain the most per minute attacking Perry, since Perry has the most money and support.
2) Romney will never go above 25% anywhere but New England. He’s toast once more conservatives drop out.

I fail to see why anyone would be attacking Romney. As you pointed out his support is frozen at about 25%. None of the conservative candidates are going to peel away any of that support in the primary, so why try. And that is going to be a group a candidate is going to need in the general, so why pi$$ off another 25% of the Republicans?

I think Mr Cain probably realizes is the real fight is for the remaining 75%. Something that Perry and his merry band of eggheads haven't seemed to figure out yet.
