I like you passion for Cain but he has no governing or legislative record to speak of. I need more substance and that is why I support Rick Perry. That doesn't mean I wouldn't vote for Cain if he somehow wrestled the nomination away from Romney. I still don't see that happening. Cain has no organization and little money.

When I look at Herman Cain I see a successful businessman and radio talkshow host who is good at running his mouth but with no experience in politics. When I looked at Ross Perot in 1992, I saw a successful businessman and a straight talker who was good at running his mouth but with no experience in politics.

Since Palin has dropped out we have seen her supporters migrate to Cain. Clearly this is why Cain has seen his support increase, especially around this forum. The Cain supporters place a lot of emphasis on personality and less on actual accomplishment and achievement in politics and governance. In that bregard, the Cain phenomenon is not unlike the Perot phenomenon from the 1990`s. Both seem to have a strong cult of personality following.

Cain, for his lack of “political experience” (meaning he has only been a subject of political droids but never been among their ranks) has made more campaign promises and proposals than Perry to date.

Perry could easily fix this. Maybe he will some day hopefully soon. No more fogs in the White House please. No more well meaning GOP dolts who think that illegales given an easy pass to US citizenship will magically become Republicans or even independents or blue dog Democrats rather than going far left wing to maximize the spoils they get.

If Palin followers are turning to Cain more than to Perry, it’s because Cain is matching up better with Palin.

He is beating people with your vaulted experience organizations, people with 4X the money and you still don’t get it or you just don’t want to get it. Rick and Mitt are career politicians and where has that gotten us?

The history of the United States is FULL of cases where men have stepped in and taken the reins of situations that they where not trained for nor sought and yet they did well. If anything history teaches us that this is clearly an American trait one of the many that makes this country exceptional.
