We’re in good shape here, we got off the ship FRiday, spent two nights in Roma and toured the Vatican and saw the major sites in a day and a half of touring, and then 13 hours in a sardine can called a seat flying home. :-]
I am pondering posting a thread to relate some observations while we were in Italy and GReece, both countries are under severe economic stress, all related to their quests to be shining jewels of socialist republics. They are both shining examples for the rest of the world on how not to do things. Our Croatia and Turkey port stops and such , oddly enough, seemed to be the more organized and prosperous and cleaner.. Go figure. ;-)
I must have got searched three times passing thru Roma and London security and Customs here and abroad, and fortunately we missed any major street protests but did see some in Athens and Roma, which we did not suffer any delays or conveniences from..
Then you are home? !!! Sounds like you had a most interesting and enjoyable trip and voyage! I do hope you’ll post a thread, (with photos of course) and tell us more about the wonderful sites and your opinions. I do find it interesting that your port stops in Croatia and Turkey were cleaner and more prosperous than the cities we consider “Western.” Epic failures of Euro-trash socialism.
It’s so good to have you back! I missed you, guy!
A thread would be great!! Welcome home!!
