Nonsense question. Americans respect the right to conscience. Every mind is free to choose its beliefs. Why be Catholic, Lutheran or Russia Orthodox? Because you choose to.

We live in a country that is free of religious strife. Look around the world and see the curse of religious conflict, take a gander at relatively recent European history. Would you rather go back to that? Our Founders did not and for that reason there is no religious standard for elected office in America. Atheists can even be elected.

That is the point, the point of America. We’re unique, different and exceptional.

We live in a country that is free of religious strife.

(Despite the likes of Joseph Smith accusing all Christians of being "corrupt" in his "first vision" -- which a later generation of Mormons decided was "scripture"...this same "vision" pronounced 100% of the Christian creeds as an "abomination"...All...just read Joseph Smith - History - vv. 18-19 in the Mormon Pearl of Great Price...)

Tell us, 1010, do you as a restorationist embrace vv. 18-19 of this First Vision? Are 100% of our Christian creeds an "abomination" as Smith pronounced based upon an unnamed entity's word?

Nice try.
You avoided replying to the over 40 posts which are indictments of Mormon theology. You then select one
sentence that you can “work with” to pretend that LDS beliefs are orthodox Christianity.

You are right: Americans are free to believe anything they choose, and to belong to any “church” no matter how weird or blasphemous it might be. Freedom of speech and religion extends to my right to point out those aspects of a group that fall outside the almost 2000 year old definition of Christianity.
