It’s been 40 years, and there hasn’t been a vast improvement in guitaring, no clearly better guitarist than Hendrix.
Clearly no greater legend than Hendrix. For the younger generation of guitarists, Hendrix is still at the head of the pantheon. I heard some boys auditioning the other day for a local group and they were clearly inspired by Hendrix.
