Its an effort already rejected by one judge, but Righthaven LLC of Las Vegas is trying again to avoid paying the legal fees of defendants that defeat Righthaven in court.

When it comes to Righthaven, I can indulge my schadenfreude without the slightest feeling of guilt.
Despicable parasites and vultures get no sympathy from me.

The judge ought to give Righthaven a choice:
Come to court with a cashier's check for the respondent or reside in county jail until they do.

Dismissed with prejudice. ALL fees paid by Righthaven. Then run them out into the Nevada desert on an exceptionally hot summer day. Give them a chance to feel the heat—where they are headed.

“DiBiases potential fee award will likely eventually be dwarfed by one from attorneys for the Democratic Underground the defendant in the main case in Nevada where it was shown Righthaven lacked standing to sue despite its claim of copyright ownership.”
I am reminded of that old joke about watching your mother-in-law drive off a cliff in your brand new car.

Nooooo....don’t run them out into the desert until they’ve paid back the attorney fees to all the defendants they pressured into settling with them.
