Well, Bachmann, Cain and Paul are and perhaps Santorum. That leaves Newt and Huntsman who are staying out of this. Newt says he’s tired of Republicans going after Republicans and taking our eyes off Obama.
They all should go after Romney, I don’t care what Newt says.
I hope Perry can answer this issue in a complete and coherent sentence if asked in the debates.
I really like Cain, but he has to start going after Romney like has Perry. I am much more worried about Romney, and he seems to be getting a free pass from all the other candidates.
By attacking Conservatives, these rinos are handing the nomination to Romney.
If the rinos destroy every Conservative Candidate and split the Conservative vote so that no Conservative can beat Romney, many of us will find a 3rd Party Candidate to vote for in 2012.

In a primary, the most liberal candidate in the republican party should be the only target. The rest of the cards will follow as they may. Romney will only be targeted after the nomination, apparently!?
In which case you have to think it’s either Obama or him. We let the media control our opinion too much! We should have focused on him and got him low in the poll numbers, so we could focus on picking from the rest of the mix. Unfortunately we’re going to be late when we should have been early.

If Romney is the nominee, then a Conservative 3rd Party Candidate can win with less than 40% of the vote because Romney has never gotten and will never get more that 25% of the vote for President.

My concern is what Cain says about Cain, I have heard him and I am impressed.
The crap you are concerned about is the liberal media trying to separate us and let a weak RINO become the nominee, thereby putting their guy in the White House for 4 more years.
It’s about damn time! I’ll never support Romney. I don’t trust him and to accept him is to accept the status quo al Gerald Ford. If he is the nominee we will have just thrown away a chance to reclaim America and substantial way. You don’t respond to a radical liberal like Carter or Obama with a milquetoast Republican who in any Red State would be considered a Democrat. I’m tired of the Romney defeatism that tries to make him the inevitable choice as if we can’t win on the principles that our founders died and sacrificed for. If that is true then we have accepted that America is truly over and if that is the case what in the hell are we fighting for?

I wouldn’t go so far as to say everyone in the race is there to protect Romney, but it’s pretty clear from every debate so far that there appears to be some kind of secret agreement not to go after Romney and Perry is the only one that didn’t get that memo.
How else do you explain the fact that all these so-called conservatives have not been shy about pointing out Perry’s flaws (of which there are certainly a few) and yet have not so much as uttered a syllable about all the liberal postions and inconsistencies in Romney’s record-which are about 10 times worse than Perry’s?
I’d like to believe otherwise, but based on the conduct of all the candidates on stage (except Gingrich and Huntsman), the plan seems to be to tear down Perry and leave Romney alone. That’s what I’ve seen in the debates so far, tell me where I’m wrong.

Meanwhile the people without a memory or the ability to think for themselves will rely upon other people to define their choice of candidates based upon non-issues (a 40 year old rock, a comment about insensitive words, a comment calling an important part of ones base heartless etc...).
I'm not the one to tell anyone where they are wrong, I judge the candidates upon what they say they are, not the press or anyone else.

I think we have a misunderstanding somewhere, cause I agree with everything you just said here. I’m only pointing out that it “appears” that there is some kind of conspiracy of silence among all the other candidates except Perry with regards to Romney’s liberal and extremely inconsistent past. Further, I could’t agree more that Romney will get clobbered probably worse than McCain in the general with all these flip-flops. I just wish the other so-called conservative candidates would point out Romney’s weaknesses with as much passion and enthusiasm as they seem to have when they go after Perry.
I just found out flip-flops are called “thongs” in Australia..... :P
We called them thongs in Texas in the ‘70s, too.
