To: ransomnote
The moment that really struck me was on the night of the election. In Chicago, he comes on stage with his family. They stand and wave for a bit; and, then he sends them off the stage and he stands there alone, soaking up all the adulation.

In all my years of watching politics, I have seen this scene dozens of times. I have, however, never seen the candidate shoo his family off the stage so that he can be admired all by himself. That one act spoke volumns to me about this man.

Wow. I never saw that. I think I was too sickened to watch TV and could bear to see that smirk on his face. It is telling, isn’t it? I often wonder how hard it is on the girls to have Obama as a father, and Michele as a mother. Always being made to feel like a photo opportunity? Always needing to shower dad with praise and respect no matter how he acts.
