Rep. Ron Paul of Texas turned out his well-organized crop of supporters Saturday and won a presidential preference straw poll with 37% of the vote.
Coming in second place in the poll of social conservatives at the annual Values Voter Summit was retired pizza chain executive Herman Cain, who pulled in 23% of the vote.

They don’t. Ron Paul and the Ron Paul campaign doesn’t know much of what the grassroots does. Sometimes grassroots will pay to move a quality grassroots photographer in or a quality grassroots videographer, or the grassroots will help the grassroots get to an event, but this is typically people spending their own money to get to the event, whatever it is.
They aren’t getting paid, but youth for ron paul did announce they were hiring recently. People in the grassroots were thinking about applying for the official campaign.
Yes, Kill Thy Neighbor
No he doesn’t have a lot more support than anybody else.
That’s what I think too - this person signed up here just a few days after Cain beat Paul in the GA poll and started trashing pain. PAULBOT
Paul is a kook!
A good sign that these early polls are meaningless
Funny how they are always “meaningless” when its not your candidate winning.
I watched the speeches at the Values Summit on CSPAN. I missed Romney,( didn’t care actually) but caught Perry, Cain, Newt, and Paul. All I can say is I’m going to vote for Newt first, and Cain second if they last long enough to get to Texas primaries. Perry looks worse and worse each time he opens his pie hole. I caught snippets of Romney on the news shows, but it was mostly about the guy introducing Perry calling Mormons a cult. Romney looks the same as the last decade, wishy washy politician. Cain played the crowd like a violin and Newt was, as usual, the brightest bulb in the room. No one is talking about judges but Newt. If the Party pushes Romney or Perry on us, there could be trouble getting people out in Nov. Cain is well qualified and Newt surly is. I think Perry and Romney would struggle to govern the way we expect. I thought Perry was just gun shy and having trouble getting into gear, but it looks more permanent every day. Cain really impressed me this weekend.
PerryBachmann2012, oh you cute little user of a bogus name retread troll. Here it is a Saturday night. I know what you’re thinking. You thought the Viking Kitties would be out tonight, didn’t you.
It’s time for your going away celebration.
This Zot is brought to you courtesy of Jim Thompson, Jim Robinson and the Viking Kitties.

Viking Kitties Ping
Bwaaahhhh!!!!
I killed another thread, single-handedly.
Whoo Hoooo!
Bump
This is NOT the thing to do. Even Ron Paul would be better than Obama IMHO. He does have sound fiscal conservative views. Not to mention most of his views on basic freedoms provided us in the constitution are correct. HOWEVER, he is a left wing loony toon when it comes to foreign policy and his isolationism stance.
You just saved him the trouble of retreading his soon to be useless screen name. He’ll be beck, no doubt masquerading as the Flavor-of-the-Week.
But The All-Seeing Eye-of-Mod will ferret him out.
Here’s to Midnight Zots and a hot buttered biscuit!
