The public execution of eight Bangladeshi migrant workers in Saudi Arabia has been condemned by a leading human rights group in Bangladesh, Ain O Salish Kendra.
The workers were beheaded in public in Riyadh on Friday after they were found guilty of killing an Egyptian in 2007.
Three other Bangladeshis were sentenced to prison terms and flogging in the same case.
More than two million Bangladeshis work in Saudi Arabia.
The human rights group says the execution of Bangladeshi workers should be condemned by anyone who cares for humanity.
It says that although the executions were carried out in accordance with Saudi law, the public beheading of the workers will cause immense suffering and trauma for their family members back at home.

We should give public executions a shot in this country.
Slave revolot in Saudi Arabia??
They were executed within 4 years of the crime. Maybe we can learn from that.
somebody’s lost their mind, that’s for sure
Their legal jurisprudence is woefully inadequate for the modern world.
They should think about that seriously because what it means is that if God gave them Sharia Law then God screwed them good.
A shot or a slice?
And shouldn't a guy with your handle be a bit wary of beheadings?
I can think of nothing that would be as horrible as being “condemned” by a “leading human rights group”. Well, okay. Being beheaded...
the public beheading of the workers will cause immense suffering and trauma for their family members back at home.
They on the other hand will not suffer long...
If they were guilty, so be it. However, I don’t have the utmost confidence in the Saudi justice system.
Not at all. I've lost my head, and lost my head, multiple times. But it grows right back.
Now, when I get my a$$ handed to me, or lose my a$$, THAT takes a while. So I try to keep it covered.
IF these eight really murdered an Egyptian, then I see no problem with this.
I know nothing about the case, but it strikes me as significant that the “Human Rights Group” says nothing about their possible innocence. I would guess that that means there was a pretty strong case for the conviction.
Instead, they focus on the evils of capital punishment, especially against foreigners. But if you visit a country where there is capital punishment, and then go ahead and murder someone, what else do you expect?
>> They on the other hand will not suffer long <<
Might be the least painful way to die, if done “correctly.”
I think we should outsource our Muslim inmates to Saudi Arabia. If we paid the Saudis a fraction of what the inmates cost us, it would be worth it. It would be interesting to see how many previous converts would “get” religion.
Those Saudi’s are just a bunch of cut ups! However, they are always coming out ahead. However one slices it one should not do crime in Arabia. Well I guess I’m going to cut off this post while I’m ahead.
Thanks decimon.
