That's all for tonight. I close with this classic Beck Group tune because in 1968 I had never heard anything like it. It's structure, progressions and multiple themes were so unorthodox in a world where three chord rockers were the norm. It was a flicker of genius in a sea of fuzz tones and wah-wahs with inane lyrics and posing front men. I saw this band when Jeff seemed just a shy sideman, standing in the shadows, and I also saw the future. For me, this song incorporated all of Jeff's many highways, ever changing and wandering, yet concise and spirited. It was rock and jazz and something else ... it was pure Jeff and it still stands as a favorite. It's not just a song, but a composition, as complex as any classical music I had been exposed to. That Jeff was ahead of his time is an understatement, because in reality he had (and has) more in common with the masters of yesteryear.

So goodnight buckaroos, we'll change it up next week and do something completely different. Happy FReeping to you all, say your prayers and God bless, I'll see you in church.

I got up at like 7 and lulled about till noon, went to the gun shop and got some legal disclaimers for the TCMS shoot.

bought a bunch of ammo and test fired a CZ75B in SW40 cal

Came home cleaned some pistols

My only complaint is that it was humid as hell but we got no rain.

I am training new workers but the mandatory overtime hasn’t kicked in... Yet...
