“There would be no guns running to these Mexican cartels if the United States government hadn’t instituted a program to facilitate it.”

That is a ridiculous statement. I would bet only a small fraction of cartel guns come from the US. Why get semi-automatic guns from the US when they can get machine guns from Central/South America, or from other countries?

That is his his point, and it is why his statement is not ridiculous.

Not too many Americans would not be in the business of running guns to the cartels unless the government subsidized it.

As you point out, they would supply themselves more cheaply from elsewhere.

He makes a good point, the MSM are big advocates of illegal rights, but don't speak up when Mexicans are being killed and our administration helped facilitate it.

200 deaths in Mexico have been directly linked to ATF guns.
