Yep it sure seems like they are following the Macaca playbook.
I was frustrated about the Macaca thing because the Washington Post ran a series of articles telling us that Macaca was a terrible slur and insult. They had to “educate” us that George Allen was such a terrible bigot.
And it was like nothing else mattered in the campaign except that George Allen said Macaca. It didn’t matter that he apologized for giving offense, or that no offense was intended. All that mattered was that the Wash. Post decided that Macaca was an ethnic slur, and that this was the only issue in the campaign that mattered.
Will the same happen with Perry and Negro Head rocks???? We’ll see.
