Im not latino, but one thing is for certain. The latino voting block will be a very, very, powerful force in this election. And Rick Perrys position, albiet a controversial and debatable stance, is the only one that can neuter Obama - tough on border security, but humane on the children of illegals who the fed dumped onto him. Yeah, a similar approach worked wonders for McCain. Oops, it didn't - and also rendered illegal immigration a non-issue for 2008.

I’d still never consider McCain to even come close to Perry’s viability in this current election cycle. Obama trounced McCain in 2008, and would still, trounce McCain today, even with his weakened, unpopular presidency. Obama would lose to Perry today in a landslide.

McLame was pro-amnesty and a leader of Dubya Bush’s amnesty movement in 2006. Perry is not, and wants to actually move federal troops to the border.
