Saving the taxpayers money.
"This is not the Shareef that we know," said the Rev. Jethroe "Jeff" Moore II, head of the Silicon Valley NAACP.
It saves the public the cost of a trial, and at the same time it assures that the none of the names of his prominent democrat/leftist buddies will be mentioned/brought up at said nonexistent trial.
“I shot the Shareef, but I did not shoot the Deputy.”
A reporter heard what sounded like shots in the area around 7:35 a.m. this morning.
Apparently the speed of sound is significantly lower in Santa Clara, California than in most other parts of the world.
So, off he goes to the eternal dirt nap. No loss.
I’d like to hear a bit more of this guy’s background.
Maybe it’s all the silicon they have there in silicon valley?
Great work by law enforcement officers!
That being said, as I live in this neighborhood (well, ~1 mile away), I'm glad I don't need to worry about this boogieman creeping up on me or my friends.
Prayers out for everyone involved. I wonder if the autopsy will turn anything up - remember, Charles Whitman, of UT-Austin tower shooting notoriety, had an aggressive brain tumor that probably played a role in his behavior.
Well, you know him now.
Maybe the Sunnyvale Police learned or thing or 2 since the ESL shooting in the 80’s. Richard Farley walked out of that shooting alive, and he is still alive after over 20 years. He killed 7 of my co-workers and he is still alive on death row.
My husband and I met at ESL the year after the shooting. We just had our 20th anniversary.
Atta’ boy Shareef, you’re a real POS.

Sunnyvale?!?
Are they sure Jim Lahey didn’t shoot him?
Well said.
Regarding Mr. Whitman, read up on him on the TruTV website. It wasn’t so much the tumor as the fact that he was under significant stress, and popping Dexedrine, an amphetamine. Amphetamines are hardly conducive to a calm and relaxed state of mind.
When all is said and done, and when people get a chance to reflect, there were very likely warning signs that people missed, as is typically the case in spree killers. But even warning signs are just that....they cannot predict WHEN a person will snap, and WHAT he or she may do.
Here’s a link to the Charles Whitman pages; it’s pretty informative. http://www.trutv.com/library/crime/notorious_murders/mass/whitman/index_1.html
Interesting thought. I agree with your sentiment. This one has something different about him. From everything I’ve seen so far he lived as a very decent fellow, and this spree was completely out of character. It does suggest that maybe there was something medical going wrong that led to the -snap- and break with reason.
You win. Dang it.

It is apparent Allman thought he was being “picked on” because of his race.
I LOATH people making decisions for me about what I should and should not see......
