“Romney hasn’t won the GOP nomination. He might, but once again you are giving up.”

I’m describing the situation as it is. With a population of more than 300 million people, when people like Obama and Romney are the guys at or near the top, and decent, qualified people like Palin are scared away from office and do not run at a time they’re desperately needed, it speaks to a much bigger problem than Obama. It speaks to a system and maybe a country that has failed.

The first step to really fixing a problem is understanding just how big and deep that problem is.

We keep getting the likes of DoleMcCainShrubClintonObamaGore to pick from. This has become travesty. It is a tragedy. America is not working.

America has been through worse before. The Revolutionary War, the Civil War, WWI, the Great Depression, WWII, and has always bounced back. Yes, we have serious problems now. That is the exact time to be strong and not give up.

We do have a call-it-like-it-is sort of candidate, in the running now. I think Cain has a lot to offer. Splitting his vote might put Romney in office. Perry is plunging, Bachmann is practically on the sidelines, but Cain is rising well. I think Sarah can retain relevance as one who can call out virtually anyone on policy matters, and as such could be the concience of the Party, if not the Government, and tell it to people in a way they can understand. She doesn't need to be POTUS to have influence, but will be ridiculously attacked at every opportunity if she is.

She has deflected a lot of media energy off the current field. Her considering a run has brought many of the GOP snakes out of the grass, caused people to embrace positions which show their RINO tendencies, and as such has drawn a lot of fire from the Media and Pubbies alike.

The cards are on the table, now, and we know who is holding what. I think she's done a fine job at that, and somehow, for those seeking a 'saviour' instead of a President, that isn't enough.

The bottom line lesson in all this is that America has to save itself. We, the People, the wellspring of all government power, have to stand on our own hind legs and rein in the monstrosity in DC, not just wait for someone to do it for us. That requires us to be active and engaged at every level, from the local government which greedily eyes millions in "federal" money grants, to the COngress and the White House.

Shadow Wars, my friend. We are seeing the battlelines being drawn and pretend we don’t. This has nothing to do with who is president and a LOT more to do with who controls the presidency...and it hasn’t been We the People for an awfully long time.
Each and every one of us has a duty to stand up against this. One person cannot do it. Sarah has chosen to fight on THEIR turf, not from inside an imaginary bubble called the presidency. She has more guts than anyone has given her credit for.
Does anyone here REALLY believe that obama controls ANYTHING? He’s so frikking stupid he can’t remember what year it is.
Look around you. The left has total control. If that control thinks it will LOSE control, they will begin a scorched earth. That is what we are looking at. That is what Sarah sees. Her entrance into this race would have triggered that. Are you people so blind that you can’t see what is going on?
We need to become an army or yes, we die.

What was done to Sarah is a symptom of the cultural rot that is destroying this country. The question is...can we reverse the trend? Personally; I don’t think so.

You forgot Kerry

And it makes me gag when I see all the carrying on about 911 from the general population that voted for Obama who stayed in a church whose leader said 911 was "Chickens coming home to roost " and "God Damn America "

Unfortunately I agree with your verdict
