They needed to start and disperse the crowds, especially with the threats of Van Jones and unions on ramping this up. Allowing them to sleep in the streets every night and disrupt traffic and business during the day for weeks is crazy.

If they don't contain it now it could escalate to similar situation as London. Seems like some of the same instigators. Water would also work.

I agree - how long can they camp in a park with no facilities? Is it even legal to camp over night is parks? Where are they washing? eating? how is trash being disposed of?
