Hadn't thought of that but you are probably correct. 4S = For Steve. Maybe the insiders knew his time had come and timed yesterday's release of the 4S as a parting tribute.

I heard Rush today, he seemed disappointed that they were not introducing the I phone 5, I think they did but knew what was going on to give it the Iphone 4 S name thingey.

I am not sure that the name had not been picked for this model up to a year ago, but I wonder if his failing health was part of the “transition” warning in the last earnings report.
