I don't think I'm alone here at FR when I post my frustration, extreme disappointment, sadness, and level of defeat by this announcement.

I understand the frustration. I love Palin, but I did not become a Palin-Waiter (as opposed to a Palin-Hater).

I learned a lesson long ago about expectations. Expectations are the largest cause of stress and arguments in our lives, especially in our marriages.

Many times we expect something, but it does not happen and it hurts.

Ask yourself, why did I expect this? What made me expect this? Why should I expect this to happen?

Get a handle on your expectations and your life improves dramatically.

..but your question of 'why was I expecting this (her announcement of candidacy).....BECAUSE SHE GAVE EVERY INDICATION IT WAS FORTHCOMING!

I didnt pull this hope/expectation out of thin air!!!!!!!

There may very well be someone even better who will declare soon.....I hope so

But I truly feel...now...she led us along.

FRiend, that is a giant pearl of wisdom. We cannot go through life expecting. We must see what is there and decide to accept it or work hard to change it.
