"The idea of a mentally ill vice president who suffers in complete isolation was obviously sparked by the behaviors I witnessed by Sarah Palin," Wallace tells Time. "What if somebody who was ill-equipped for the office were to ascend to the presidency or vice presidency? What would they do? How long would it take for people to figure it out? I became consumed by this question."
It's not surprising that Wallace would choose a public forum to portray Palin in such a negative light. Wallace's name was near the center of post-campaign speculation about unhappiness with Palin within the McCain team. But now, Wallace has added a new and striking element to the story: She says the McCain team discussed the question of whether, if McCain had won the 2008 election, it would have been "appropriate" for Palin to actually take office.

UPDATE: I just spoke with Charlie Black, who was McCain's top campaign adviser in the 2008 race. "I never heard any such discussions," Black told me. "There were no discussions like that with McCain, or I think I would have known about them. That doesn't mean some subset of the senior staff might have talked to each other about it."

Well, I’d say they are afraid she will dismantle their little playhouse of power, deception, and corruption.
Just a guess.
You know, a power-to-the-people thing.
Do what I do when the RINO/elitists/establishment pukes stick another knife in her back; donate to SarahPAC, buy a couple of Undefeated DVDs, and take names.
These Romneybots will do ANYTHING to get their Ripon Republican liberal candidate into the White House.
Sarah Palin right now telling Mark Levin that she’s not running!!
bump.
We knew there were members of the McCain staff that hated her. They threw marbles under her feet at every turn, fortunately for her, after the first major stumble she learned FAST not to trust them and to do her own thing.
Wouldn’t have been possible. She is elected by the Electors in a ballot just like he would have been. It would have required impeachment or resignation - can’t just “fire” her like a cabinet post.
McCain hired liberals on his staff and they hate Christian conservatives more than they support anything else - including McCain.
McBackstabber strikes again! This time the Rinos on his staff were stabbing him in the back as they bloodied his VP Palin. Rinos are back stabbers.
If it wasn’t for Palin, McCain would have lost 49 states.
Biden
Or the "One" himself?
