CNN: Conservative group to target Romney

First on CNN: Conservative group to target Romney

"If you support the principles of the Republican Party platform, as I do, then it's important that we make sure the GOP nominates someone who has supported and fought for those principles. On almost every single important issue facing America today, Mitt Romney has fought against conservatives and Republicans. He's been a liberal on fiscal issues, a liberal on social issues, and a liberal on national security issues," says Lloyd Marcus, Chairman of Campaign to Defeat Barack Obama, in a statement to CNN.

If my choice is Ron Paul or Obama, I WILL vote for Paul. Not willingly. I’ll take wierd over evil any day.

Heck, if my choices were Satan or Obama...

Well no, Satan would probably be worse than Obama. But not by much. :)

Out of curiosity, have you picked a candidate yet? Mine is Herman Cain, and has been for a while.

I see others mentioning that we need to coalesce around a single candidate, and I agree. I think there ought to be a Free Republic Endorsement. How to go about doing that is a whole other ball of worms LOL. But it would be really nice to lead in that manner IMHO.

Thanks for all you do Jim!

Say, how is the healing honey working? Is it still doing it’s job?

Heck, if my choices were Satan or Obama...

I can imagine the debates...

Satan: I propose free healthcare in exchange for your immortal soul.

Obama: I propose doctors pay YOU if you are sick in exchange for your immortal soul.

Satan: Damn.......

Well, duh. Please name the conservative we can all coalesce around. I’m sure you will get no argument.

Well, I was thinking of Big Jim Robinson.

(freepers...with a few exception...might all agree on that one.)

Mr. Chairman, the great state of FreeRepublicLand puts into nomination, our favorite son, Mr Jim Robinson.

Lots of hypocrites here who can’t see what Cain did just because he did it against Perry.

If that article was about a rock on Sarah’s leased property years ago that had that word on it. No matter how hard she tried they would make Palin look like a racist. And If Cain had been asked about it on a news show, he would have also taken the race baiting and said she was insensitive.

You guys would then understand. Or do you really think he would not have done it against Sarah.

Cain spoke the code against Perry and it worked.

The only pro-God, pro-gun, pro-oil, small government, big defense patriotic candidate I would endorse at this time has not entered the race. And if she decides not to run, then I will be pragmatic and endorse one of the remaining pro-God, pro-gun, pro-oil, small government, big defense patriotic candidates in the running and the one I believe at the time has the best shot of beating Romney and Obama. I believe my choices will be narrowed by then to either Bachmann, Cain or Perry.

The rock means nothing to either candidate or anyone whatsoever. Just another big lib media attempt to divide and conquer. Advise all to ignore it.

Here are my four top choices:

1) Sarah Palin
2) Michele Bachmann
3) Herman Cain
4) Rick Perry

I might only swap #2 and #3 but my list is the same 4.

Perry only one in the military. Also don’t forget that Cain said he would not support Perry as our candidate but would support Romney.

Everyone forgotten that?

He’ll probably join the campaign too late and then forget to campaign. Big disappointment.

I don’t think Sarah will have any problem campaigning or generating excitement and attracting support/campaign dollars if she decides to run. But it is getting late.

It sure would be nice if Cain came out and said just that. Instead he says he is moving on.

Bachmann, Cain and Perry each have some problem or another that is going to tick off one conservative faction or another, but there’s nothing conservative whatsoever about the lying progressive liberal bastard Mitt Romney. They’re ALL head and shoulders more conservative than him and I will gladly go with anyone of them against Romney/Obama if Sarah doesn’t run.

Why resign yourself to a bad situation when we can work now to make sure it's a decision we never have to face?

LOL -- begging the question, just a bit? I'm way ahead of you, FRiend.

Cain’s policy on immigration same as Perry. That’s why folks here seem to hate Perry so much.

Cain and Perry both are for sealing the border. Cain says after the border is sealed, we have to have a reasonable program to help the illegals here.

Perry has to deal with all those illegals every single day of his life and doesn’t have the luxury to just talk about it as most of the other candidates.

Perry is not advocating what you should do in your state about your illegal problem. Perry does support Arizona’s right as a state to handle their problem as they see fit.

Perry is a stong believer of state’s rights.

my questions since this is CNN and CNN is not to be trusted,

is this a REAL conservative group or just a made up group by the left ala the fake tea parties, or fake evangelical christians?

is this just spin for primary fight without regard for the election?

Perry is the only one in your group who hasn’t attacked another conservative.

Perry is the only one in that group who has been attacked by the other 2 conservatives in that group.

Why are Bachmann and Cain only attacking Perry and not Romney?

I'm with Jim Robinson. Let the voting begin!! And until then, all should support their best alternative to The Doomsday Device (otherwise known as Mitt Romney).
