“Seventy-nine percent (79%) of Americans agree with the statement that the “The big banks got bailed but the middle class got left behind.””

They're right. That money could have been used for Tax payer refund checks. Every taxpayer could have used the extra cash, and it would have been beneficial for the economy.
It depends on how you relate to the question. If asked "Should welfare benefits have been increased, or a new social program started instead of bailing out the banks?" I'm sure the answer would have been much different. It would have been an astounding "no", contrary to what this article appears to report.

There are people who think this protest is just a bunch of young people wanting a fiscal correction. They have no idea the protest is designed to start a Communist Revolution. The media hasn't started reporting that part yet. (Once the union starts breaking things, they'll have no choice but to report it.)

The first stimulus to the banks was mostly paid back.
I don't think these people have a way to pay anything back should they get a bail out.
Lastly, what happened to the money that was paid back? How come we didn't get a near 1 trillion dollar reduction in the deficit?
Did Bernanke send the money out? How come no one talks about this?

On the face of it, it IS true. And I think most FReepers agree. Back in 2008 when TARP was up for a vote most of us here were against it, and that was one of the major issues...

Now, the difference is what we'd do about it, vice the Left. The Left’s course of action is utter folly.

I'd like to see Sarah Palin enter the GOP race and come out swinging, saying, the banks got a bailout and we got nothing! Steal the commie thunder right out of their cloud.

And Sarah, of course, as a conservative, could spell out the ways a true conservative would handle it: “Banks, you're on your own. No one is too big to fail due to poor decisions from management. The US government needs to stop meddling and regulating you to death. No more forcing you to make loans to people who have no way to meet the terms. You sink or swim on your own. Good luck.”
