“He is running for President of the United States. Not for President of the Conservative website club.”

Exactly.

He seems to be the only one who is willing to go head to head with these radical leftists and he is winning these battles. He made Al Sharpton look like a sniveling spoiled brat.

Re: why did Cain go on the View?

The other reason is conventional “news” outlets (cable news, broadcast evening news, newspapers, etc...) are barely giving him the time of day. Sound-bytes won’t get Cain elected, but that’s the only exposure he gets via normal news outlets.

When people hear Cain for an extended periond of time, they warm up to him. Go find the youtubes of the View appearance. Were they hostile to him? Oh yea, but he still got his message across. I’ve no doubt more than a few of the View viewers came away thinking “who is this Herman Cain, why don’t I hear more about him, I need to find out more about him.”

Cain is taking an unconentional course here, but if he stays the conventional route the powers that be (the news establishment & GOP establishment) will box him into a corner where he’ll barely be seen.
