The state of modern science.

sad isnt it ??? Im not that old, but was taught that science involved experimentation to disprove your theory...

this new science seems to simply involve feelings and cherry picking unrelated information...

I don’t know.

Exactly. A hypothesis exists. Without well-designed, repeated experimental tests, it remains a hypothesis, and its information value is null.

Wisdom teeth are leaving us. My mother only had two, and I had none. Yes, I suppose that does mean that I am highly evolved. Yet without wisdom.

Evolution is supposed to mean that a species has grown more complex over time through mutation. Have these “scientists” show me how their subjects grew more complex during the time period they studied. Show me a mutation or chrosomal abnormality in the human genome that has made mankind more complex.

Maybe those with Downs, progeria or even albinism are truly the evolved ones!

Evolution is still a theory and has never been proven. Now the Left, because they have shouted this big lie loud enough and long enough, feels it is scientific fact.

“Wisdom teeth are leaving us...”

I only had two as well (so does my son). The dentist did say that is was part of evolution. In the olden days, many people lost their teeth due to childbirth, poor diets, lack of good dental care and the wisdom teeth were needed to “replace” the back teeth that were lost. I am not sure if that is correct or not but it was a lot easier to have two removed than four.

Future generations will be born with square eyes, huge thumbs, wide butts, and tiny legs.

Anoreth is shorter than I am, but Elen is taller *and* has bigger feet.

When Tom claimed he could breathe underwater, Bill and Anoreth asked if that meant he was evolving, but after cogitation, we concluded that he’s a space alien.

It is absurd, BUT, there is an agenda, and promotion of evolutionary worldviews is not the end goal. The Communist worldview depends on the rejection of everything else and the total adoption of exclusive materialism, which REQUIRES evolution in order to be “true”.

According to evolutionary theory, there would have to be a survival value involved in the absence of wisdom teeth in order for their presence to be diminished in subsequent generations.

I don’t think anyone can really justify that NOT having wisdom teeth during the period of time required for several generations to live and reproduce was a survival issue,
or, conversely, that having wisdom teeth caused people to die before they could reproduce.

I definitely concur with the space alien feeling. Either that or a mutant like in X Men. You always make me laugh, Tax-chick!

My mother's wisdom teeth grew roots around her jawbone so that she couldn't open her mouth enough to eat. In a low-tech environment, she'd have died before reproducing. Of course, in the "state of nature," she probably would have had children in her mid-teens (which was before the teeth problem) rather than late 20s.

Reminds me of a joke: how did the woman lose 200 pounds of unwanted fat? Answer: she divorced her husband. LOL!

You know why the average husband dies seven years before his wife?

It's God's way of giving a guy a break before eternity really kicks in!

Not arguing but wouldn’t having the wisdom teeth nourish the woman who nourished the babies? In older times, it was typical for a woman to lose one to two teeth per pregnancy. If she started having children in her mid teens (for an example) wouldn’t the addition of four back teeth (to chew rougher food) help maintain the possibility of having more children?

So, can I conclude that you’re saying that your example is “inconclusive”? :)

Seriously, though, the tendency for the WT to cause problems IS genetic, and if it was a survival issue, this tendency would have “evolved out” of our genome before now.

The existance of a tendency towards homosexuality is really a strong counter-example for evolution, don’t you think?

“it is often claimed that modern humans have stopped evolving because cultural and technological advancements have annihilated natural selection”

What idiot wrote this? Darwin way back when already recognized a form of selection that wasn’t strictly “natural.” That is, sexual selection. You may have heard about it seconds after your teacher told you about natural selection. If sexual selection can control evolution, so can cultural selection, for lack of a better term.

Darwin, again, long ago recognized such, so as to explain why human populations don’t unavoidably push up against the food supply in the absense of plague, famine, and war, as he theorized all species should. The answer was, more or less, medicine, farming, contraception, and so forth. In short, civilization.

Oh well, much funner and more profitable to shock readers with things everyone already knows.

I know you’re joking, but no one “slumbers” after death.
Absence in the body is presence with Christ (for believers).
