Maybe we need to totally reconsider this entire nomination process. We all have seen tv shows wherby the winner is chosen by na process of elimination. What if we could simply vote for the candidate that we would most like to eliminate first.I like it!
At the end of each debate, a national click-vote (with SSL-logged-in registered-republican-usernames only) for who to eliminate, and that person's podium starts flashing red, with buzzers sounding and one of the debate moderators says "I'm sorry, Mr. Huntsman, you won't be joining your fellow participants at the next debate... but we do have these lovely parting gifts for you."
Good additions!
To me, the whole fight is about keeping the government from eating our lives, and all these things would contribute to holding it back.
When people talk about left and right, they often think of small and usually transient issues, but the essential thing is the philosophical difference. Did the Founders believe that we were created to be controlled by and serve the government, or did they believe that we were created to be free to work and achieve and carry on our personal lives, and that this would create a happy and prosperous country (which it has always done)?
I think Bachmann did reference the Constitution and the Founding Fathers, and I liked her a lot. In the long run, she wasn’t up to the pressure, unfortunately, but I hope we have somebody among our candidates who can take up the torch.
Perfect!
“we have a wacky Mormon warlock”
Thank you for clarifying your principled opposition to Romney. The comment illuminates the inner-workings of a sick mind. Now that your Messiah from Alaska has publicly accepted that obvious—that she has no chance to beat Oboma—and has stated she will not run, who will be your sure to lose anti-RINO? Seems you can choose “Gardisel causes retardation” Bachman or Cain (to be honest, I can’t think of anything bad to say about him). Can’t vote for “Ricardo” Perry. Gingrich opposes the Ryan budget. So who is it? Who’s the shining anti-RINO who will ride the steed to the White House?
Cain.
The more I see, the more I like.
Educated. Articulate. And makes race baiters look rediculous.
Haven’t made up my mind yet, but Cain looks better every day.
Cain has certainly earned a closer look.
As a principled romneybot, you should be going out of your way to convince those on the right to support your guy now that he seems to have the upper hand. If rino-man gets the nomination, I’m sure you will have other nice things to say.
Right now, I hope Cain wins the nomination. I would even take ‘Ricardo’ over mandate man. But if your guy gets the nomination, I will vote for him over the worst president in US history.
However, if the romney supporters continue to say that potential allies have ‘sick minds’, a lot of us will close our wallets and stay home. If
romney wins the nomination, he will have to work very hard to re-unite the
party. He will have to do and say more to convince conservatives. He will have to say over and over and emphatically that Obamacare must be repealed and just signing an executive order for a blanket waiver will not be enough. Remember, the obamacare law has no legal provision for
waivers and the Leftists would challenge a blanket waiver. He should have said that romneycare was a mistake, but it’s too late for that now.
I detest obama, and Romney does have his good points. He is smart, articulate, and experienced. But his support of statist healthcare cannot be overlooked. He has flip-flopped on abortion and global warming; critical issues for conservatives and not to be trifled over.
If Romney does win, remember magnamanity in victory.
Newt for VP

I Agree, but I am Afraid we are past that point. Sarah Palin may have been the one to do that but she is gone,Cain is going to self Destruct, looks like we are stuck with the same old Sleazy ,slick panderer Romney.Really depressing, when you see Rasmussen polling showing Majority of people sympathizing with Obamas army in the Streets, you know it wont be long before total Chaos erupts and the Constitution will be the Last thing on Anyones Mind.
The way things are Building I believe the Election is the Spark that is going to touch it all off. These Demonstrations are all Coordinated with the Marxist in the White House,Move-On.org,SEIU,and every Left wing loon there is,but the real Danger is unemployed main stream Americans unemployed and Desperate will hear things that will be a Siren song, those dirty Rich ,the greedy Banks etc.that will pull them in.The rest are just Useful Idiots but they will all be whipped into a Frenzy by their Leader Obama and next summer and fall will see Violence and something internationaly will be sparked By Soros or Iran or Russia and all Hell Is going to Break loose. These Communists Behind all this Crap know this is their Moment and they will Not go Quietly into the Night. Prepare
Cain has neither the money nor the organization to get the nomination. A vote for him is a vote for Romney as the anti-Rino’s are gonna split between Cain, Perry, and Bachman. Of those three, only Perry has the organization and money to take on Romney. Perry's poor debate performance does not bode well for him as a national candidate; however, if debate prowess were the deciding factor, then Gingrich would be the nominee.
I'm unhappy Perry has been this cycle's Fred Thompson. I don't think there is any candidate who gets me enthused the way Palin did...but so be it. In the end, we don't build up our chances in 2012 by tearing down whoever will eventually run against Obama. Rather than trash talking who we don't like, find out and promote the values and policies of candidates we like and persuade us to vote for someone; rather than against someone (as the one you are now against may be the one we may need to vote for).
romney is a very flawed candidate. Not at all because of his religion. Not because of his intelligence, demeanor and experience, but because of his policy positions. Having money is important but not the only thing to consider. A sound grass roots campaign is an absoulte necessity. It will not be possible for most self respecting and principled conservatives to make the argument for romney’s position on state health care. Like it or not, government health care is one of the biggest or the biggest issue in the election. Government run health care adversely affects not only health care quality and access, but it has pernicious effects on the constitution and the economy.
Conservatives make decisions on the basis of logical arguments consistent with conservative ideology. Elections are won by a combination of activism and money; an overabundance of money cannot compensate for a poor ‘ground game’. Most conservatives will probably vote for romney (I would) if he is unhappily the GOP nominee. But you cannot expect conservatives to feign enthusiasm for romney and actively participate in campaigns even when obama is such contemptable opponent. And please don’t tell me that romney will spurn a wave of ‘moderate’ activists to work for him.
No vote has been cast. It’s not too late. You can still get behind a better more conservative candidate (Cain, Perry, Bachman, Santorum, Gingrich). Yes, these men and women are not perfect, but they are more conservative overall than romney. Don’t be seduced by the establishment and MSM propaganda that romney is the only viable contender to challenge obama.
