oh it will be a big change. If he is the standard bearer of the GOP, the GOP will no longer be considered a social conservative party with grassroots support from religious people. The message will be: Forget about abortion and traditional marriage because Obama is worse.
Romney isn’t that much different than McCain, or Dole, or Ford, or a lot of others, it seems to me.
