Can he refuse to appoint someone? What then?

This is the administration that refuses to cooperate in every way like they are above the law.

To fail to appoint a special prosecutor, I think can result in impeachment, for failing to uphold the laws of the land and would result in removal from office.

That was my first thought. I don’t know.
But this administration considers laws and custom optional/not applicable to them, so I imagine he’ll just clean his golf shoes with the letter and toss it in the round file.

I think Issa took some lessons (or maybe he didn’t need them) from Andrew Beitbart - dribble stuff out there little by little. Let the bad guys dissemble, lie and cover their butts. Then let out the next little bit. And the next one.

Dumb0 has to appoint an SP or have one appointed for him.
